SURVEYOR 1.0

What is surveyor?

Surveyor relies on two functions built in the BeOS API to do its job which is to check if is the computer is on and check if the motherboard is burning.

If you don't care about the state of your computer, just run the program and watch the status from time to time. But if you are really stressed about it, the Threads menu lets you start as many threads as you want in order to check the computer. There is (theoritically) no limit on the number of threads that you may want to launch. But be aware that if you run up to a hundred threads, the system will dramatically slow down (that's the case with my mono-processor power center 120). But is it so important when you think to the benefit that it brings to you? So sit back and relax…
Surveyor does the job for you.

Limitations

No limits, On the number of threads and the number of Surveyor instances concurrently running.
The file bm.datas must reside in the same directory as the app.
Nobody else has tested Surveyor. I could not test it while my computer was off neither did I shot the motherboard down in flames.

Bugs

None, as far as I know.
